On Covid-19 Developments
Where is the hair coming from? Is it safe?
The hair that’s currently being shipped from our warehouses in the USA was received before the COVID-19 pandemic.
The hair followed the usual quarantine process that all overseas shipments receive and was released to our U.S. warehouse months before concerns arose. Our warehouse employees always follow safety precautions when handling our product, but have been especially diligent to follow all guidelines outlined by the CDC during this time, including staying home from work while feeling sick.
Are you still booking appointments?
We are currently in the process of temporarily pausing and phasing out our in-person services and helping our install stylists adjust their booking schedules. We're also working on initiatives that can help our community and small businesses during this time so that the burden is a bit lessened. Because each state is following different guidelines (some are observing Shelter in Place, some are not), we are working with businesses in each state to support their current states of emergencies.
Will my package ship on time?
Yes, it will ship on time; there are no delays.
Does my voucher expire?
Due to current circumstances, we are extending expiration dates for vouchers.
What should I do if I’m not feeling well?
If you have an already scheduled appointment, please connect with a Mayvenn Concierge to let them know so that they can reschedule your appointment for a later date. You also have the option of canceling your services.
What if my stylist cancels the appointment?
If your appointment is canceled because a stylist is ill, unavailable, or in an area where it is not safe to take appointments, a Mayvenn Concierge team member will help you re-book immediately.
What if I want to wait to schedule my appointment for a later date?
With the current situation, we know you have questions. We wanted to answer a few here, for you.
The health of our community of stylists and clients is our focus and top priority. We are monitoring the situation closely and strongly encouraging stylists to follow CDC recommendations for COVID-19 by practicing social distancing and frequent hand-washing, sanitizing, etc. We are also very aware that our stylist community, who are small business owners, are being deeply affected by this as they rely heavily on being able to see clients.
At this time, we are currently helping to temporarily phase out Free Install and Wig Customization appointments in all possible areas. A Mayvenn concierge can help you figure out the best options in your area.
